Bookmobile Information
Any resident, Adams County student, or person paying property taxes in Adams County may obtain a library card at no charge. Non-residents may purchase a card for $30.00 a year. Library Card replacement - $1.00. To qualify for a card you must complete the application in full and show photo ID and proof of current address (examples: mail received or check blanks). Bring completed application and ID to the library or bookmobile. You must present your library card in order to check out or to use the computers. View/print a library card application [PDF].

Check-out periods
4 Weeks – Most books, audiocassettes, CDs, books on tape/CD
2 Weeks – Videocassettes/DVDs (summer only), magazines, Golden Sowers, seasonal books, puppets
Renewals
4-week items may be renewed for an additional 2 weeks in person or by phone, if no one has reserved them. 2-week items may not be renewed.
Check-out limits
3 books on the same subject, series or author; 3 music CDs, 3 videocassettes/DVDs (summer only), 2 book/tape kits, 1 book on tape/CD, 1 magazine, 1 puppet; there is no limit on the total number of items.
Fines for late returns
$0.10 per day per item will be charged for most materials kept past the due date. $1.00 per day per item will be charged for videocassettes, DVDs and items borrowed from other libraries. The maximum fine for an item will not exceed half of its cost.
Lost or Damaged Items
Items lost or damaged will be charged the full replacement cost of an item, plus a $5 processing fee.
Suspension of privileges
Any person with fines or charges of $10.00 or more will have borrowing and computer privileges suspended.
