Foundation Directory Online Database
This fully searchable database includes detailed profiles of all active U.S. foundations, as well as an extensive file of recent grants awarded by the nation's top funders. The database may be accessed from the Online Research computers at Hastings Public Library. Licensing restrictions prohibit us from offering remote access to this database. Print resources
Books and other materials are housed in the Grant Center collection or reference area. Most titles are available to check out. A complete listing is available on the Grants Research Information brochure [PDF]. Some titles in the HPL collection include The Foundation Center's Guide to Proposal Writing, Foundation Fundamentals, Foundation Grants to Individuals, Nebraska Foundation Databook, Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance, and Government Assistance Almanac.

Find the books, free orientation sessions, training courses, and online tutorials you need to learn about foundations and fundraising, proposal writing, nonprofit management, and how to use their tools and resources.

Grants.gov is your source to find and apply for federal government grants. There are over 1,000 grant programs offered by all federal grant making agencies. Grants.gov allows organizations to electronically find and apply for more than $400 billion in federal grants research.

- • Computer lab equipped with Microsoft Office and Internet and access to laser printers (color—10¢/page, black-and-white—10¢/page)
- • Photocopier (10¢/copy), printer from Online Research computers (10¢/page), and typewriter

About the Grant Center
Hastings Public Library provides free public access to grantmaker directories, books on fundraising and nonprofit management, and the Foundation Center's electronic database, The Foundation Directory Online.
Hastings Public Library is a member of the Cooperating Collection of the Foundation Center (http://foundationcenter.org). The Cooperating Collection is a nationwide network of libraries, community foundations, and other nonprofit agencies. Membership is made possible through a grant from the Hastings Community Foundation, Inc.
Hours for the Grant Center are the same as library hours.
